Concert Secrets Revealed – Stop Waiting in Line For Your Concert Tickets

Are you tired of missing out on tickets for your favorite band? If you are like the majority audiences, you’ve been forced to purchase high-priced tickets on eBay or from On-line ticket brokers because the performance you wanted to see sold out before you can get tickets.

Take heart! That is all about to vary. I’m going to let you in on some information that can literally take you to the front of the line the next time you want to buy concert tickets!

But before I do, I need to make sure we are alone.

Why all the secrecy you ask?

It is simple. I’m about to divulge the remarkably same information that the ticket sellers on eBay use to buy their performance and sports tickets for face benefit all over the country. I’m about to tell you little-known information that will take you from customer to competitor. In short, I would be in significant trouble If they found out I was practically giving away the store.

Think about it this way. If you had a hidden gravy inform that let you purchase tickets for as little as $35 each and then sell them later for 200-300 % profit, wouldn’t you be pretty ticked off if someone told the whole world about it?

And how do I know about this valuable information?

Simple, I have been using it to buy and sell performance and sports tickets for everything from WWE wrestling shows to Kenny Chesney to Beck to U2. This proven information has been refined and developed over the years to make people many money. I recognize it could do the same thing for you, too.

While this can all sound like typical marketing hype, I can assure you it is absolutely true. Concert promoters, radio stations, fan venue s, booster venue s, and other groups sponsor ticket presales or special promotions for their members. These sales typically occur Internet a few days or weeks before the tickets go on sale to the general public.

The special advance ticket sales are offer ed as either an incentive to join in the case of a fan club or radio station mailing list, or as a perk for a loyal group of fans prefer season ticket holders of an NFL team.

Passwords can be distributed by the Venue, artist, team, fan club, promoter, radio station, etc. Whoever is sponsoring the presale will handle the distribution of it. During the presale, a portion of tickets is made available to this choose group of people so they could purchase tickets before anybody else has a chance. As you could see, this gives them a large advantage over the general public. In fact, the group sponsoring the presale only wants members of the intended group to purchase tickets during the presale. So in an resolution to limit the presale, these special sales are, in essence, password protected.

Back in the day, virtually all presale passwords were a easy word, and anyone who knew this word could purchase tickets. These were considered generic passwords.Recently, in an quest to further limit who could use presale passwords, some groups have begin to utilize unique passwords. A unique password, as the name implies, is specific to each buyer, and could not be used for multiple purchases. Once the password has been used to purchase tickets, it is no longer valid. Unique passwords are used frequently by sports teams for season-ticket holder presales or by fan venues of the more popular musical groups and performers. Due to the additional requirements vital for unique ticket presales, the majority of the passwords you find on the Web are generic passwords, but you need to be aware of the type of password you receive.

Generic passwords are uncommonly usually used during radio station presales or presales sponsored by performance promoters or Venues. Traditionally the majority passwords have been generic, but more and more performers are employing unique passwords to thwart ticket scalping. Keep this in mind on your quest for a password. I would hate for you to think the password you scored for your preferred band was generic when in fact it has been unique. Here are several things to keep in mind.

• Presales are regularly sold from a specified block of seats or a certain price level.

• an party could have more than one presale with its own password selling tickets from the same or different ticket pools.

• The tickets available during the presale won’t necessarily be the same sections that will be available during the general sale to the public.

• Presales offer the advantage of exclusive buying links which oftentimes solutions in less individuals competing for the pool of available seats.

• Presales can have limited seating available in various areas. Since presales are intended as advance purchasing opportunities, they don’t always offer access to better seats. In fact, it is possible that better tickets can be available when the tickets go on sale to the general public, but there will also be more competition for those tickets.

• Presales again and again have stringent purchase limits that restrict purchasers to 4 or fewer tickets each.

• Presales can be restricted to “will call” only.

• Presales could require you to purchase with a certain credit card or other form of payment, ex American Express.

• A presale can require an additional fee to join the artists fan club.

Hopefully I have shown you the worth of presale passwords and how they could endorse you score tickets to your favorite band. With this information, and a little time and endeavor you, prefer me, could skip to the head of the line the next time you want to buy concert tickets.

Stay tuned for part two of this persuade to learn more specific tips for locating and using presale passwords. Until then, I’llbe seeing you on the “inside!”

Music, prefer speech, must be recognised as one of the important elements of humanity. It’s impossible to conceive the existence of a race of people unpossessed of at least some rudimentary form of music, and certainly no such race has yet been located. Wherever explorers have ventured, they have invariably found a more or less definite national music esteemed and cultivated. In the remotest corners of the world, among the Indian tribes of the Americas, the most barbarous of the African tribes, the least known peoples of the far East, anytime travel and exploration have opened up the recesses of a strange land, it has been found that music existed there, and ofttimes in a curiously forward state of development compared with the useful arts of life.

Of the beginning of music we know no more than we do of the beginning of speech. The most primitive nations have each and all their personal national music, just as they have each their personal national form of speech. Music is thus an immemorial thing; for the sculptures of Nineveh, and the sculptures and paintings of the ancient Egyptians, the oldest records of life and manners extant, represent musicians and musical instruments in such a way as leads one to the conclusion that, even in the period to which these carvings and paintings belong, music had already traveled a long way on the path of development. What the music from which the comparatively finished art of the Assyrians and Egyptians was evolved was prefer, we may perhaps be perfect able to judge from a brief survey of the music of various uncivilised nations as current at the present day.

All the world over, the music of the more primitive of the uncivilised races may be said to move on parallel lines, and it’s only as tribes and nations rise somewhat in the scale of nature that their music starts to display any marked degree of varying iation. Down on what might be called the bed-rock of humanity they’re all pretty much a like, and in the national music of the most broadly removed races the same phenomena present themselves with but trifling modification. Singing or any kind of vocal sounds is common everywhere on planet earth. The primitive human being gives expression to the primary emotions and passions by means of the voice or speech as a matter of instinct, just as is done by the brute creation.

The 1st step in advance is taken when the savage becomes conscious, as it were, for the 1st time, of the sounds which are born of certain circumstances, and resolutions to reproduce these sounds irrespective of the feelings from which they arise. This is the 1st recognition of sound that has any meaning; and from it to early stages of the rhythmical narrative, and to the song, is no inconceivable transition. With the sense of rhythm, which was most could evolved from simply walking, footsteps themselves are rhythmic, whether in walking or in dancing, it is as natural to early man as to walk-comes the 1st hint of a musical instrument; for, with all races, musical instruments must have been rhythmic 1st, and evolved to be melodic when a higher standard of life has been reached.

The Benefits of Music for Your Child

As I sit here writing, I could hear in the background my kids humming and singing while they play. My four year old son is trying to make up his own rhyming lyrics to a melody he’s made up on the piano and my six year old daughter is reading the lyrics for a song she is practicing for a concert.

Music
has had such an impact on our lives. And I know it comes mostly from the simple task of playing kid’s music during our day. Together all of us listen, sing along, dance and even read the lyrics.

For babies and young kids music is a great way to learn language and new vocabulary. And they love it. I’ve never met a young child that does not love music.

Listening to music with your kids may establish a stimulating atmosphere for your home. Different music can be used to evoke varying moods and can be used to establish varying environments in your home.

When my children were babies, I used to performance calm classical music before bedtime. Even now all of us performance classical music when they do art (or when I need a some peace and quiet). At other times all of us use livelier music to  encourage  creative movement, development of rhythm, dancing and singing along with. I do not think all of us might survive a long car ride in the absence of one of our favorite cds.

I’ve also found music considerably beneficial for their education. Through music, kids (and adults a prefer ) are able to more effortlessly memorize facts. tunes can be used to learn phonics rules, math facts, lifestyle skills and so much more. all of us now try to find music that teaches about topics the kids are interested in. And I find myself having the opening  to relearn a lot of subjects including Spanish.

Early exposure to a variety of musical styles may endorse develop a life long appreciation of music. When your kids are young, you as the parent have the chance to influence positively the music that the family purchases. You may introduce a lot of different styles and topics before their peers take over in later years.

The most important value of music is that it allows us as a family members to invest quality time together. Music is an entertaining alternative to television. With music playing in the background all of us can still have conversations, read or do other activities. For some strange reason my kids seem to quarrel less when their music is playing. We’ll generally sing along to lively songs while all of us fold the laundry and tidy up. Music can be played while all of us bake cookies or craft. Un like excessive television which might every now and then distract from our time together, music is something that all of us can all share together, expands our home life and encourages family members time.

Nowadays there are so many exceptional kid’s artists and variety of albums to select from. It might al the majority be overwhelming. Fortunately, the Web now allows us the luxury of being able to easily search for music, learn about the artist, read reviews and listen to samples of their work. The following select websites listed below will give you a exceptional start. Good luck, have fun together and allow your child to grow up loving music!

The New Music Marketing Model

Posted by Music Blog | Posted in Live Music Seattle | Posted on 13-05-2009

Tags: , , ,

0

A year ago, I wrote a passionate article on the merits of charging $15 when you sell your CD s. Some of my reasonings included: It’s tough for independent artists and you have a nice music, so don’t short- change yourself; you can always discount the CD  for special reasons (2-for-1 special); and, the “high” sales prices additionally includes your numerous expenses. I made a few addendums, but that’s the gist of it.
But now, if you head over to http://mp3.com/thebards and check out the Brobdingnagian Bards page at MP3.com, you’ll notice something kinda hypocritical…none of our CDs are priced at $15! What gives??
Well first let me say, yes, I do still believe in a $15.00 sales price for many artist s. Certainly, it works perfect for folk artist s, and singer/songwriter types. But my reason is not hypocrisy it is a dramatic change in our marketing plan.
You see, when  we  started out, I knew that the only “real” income available to independent artists comes from CD  sales and merchandising since royalties from ASCAP and BMI are a joke. So our plan has been to record every 6 months or less and put out new material. By then end of last summer the independent process has been leaving us drained, and  we  were thinking  we  overextended. Then along comes MP3.com.
One of the things I’ve been raving about for the past few months is that MP3.com provides a new marketing model by provide ing “royalties” for listens to your music. And if you’re getting paid from people listening to your music. Then it needs to be simply available right?
Well, we’ve followed the footsteps of many of the top MP3.com artists and have about 40-50 tracks available on our web site and more are coming every week. In doing so,  we  make a solid $20 a day from our web site.
Now with each listen, the songs are tracked on MP3.com on their music charts. You sell a CD, the songs on that CD  will rocket up the charts. So you want the CDs to sell, because higher charting equals higher payback. Thus, our low price on MP3.com.
Now think for a second. If you have 40 songs on your web site prefer the Hillbilly Hellcats, you’re the majority prefer ly going to make your 15 unique listens because your songs are located all over the charts. There are plenty of songs to choose from. Thus the new marketing model no longer relies on CD  sales of $15.00, but listens. When you realize that you open yourself up to a whole slew of, in my opinion, simple marketing tactics that will make you more money from listens than selling CDs from your web site.
I understand this all seems simplistic, but the vast reality is the majority artists on MP3.com are still running their band with an older marketing model that doesn’t yield the highest payback. So contemplate that for a bit, and next week, I’ve a guest writer who will give you an inspiring promotional idea that can send your listens over the top. Then the week following that, I’m going to betray my secret that has my song “Tolkien” at #35 on all MP3.com…
Stay tuned. Same bard time. Same bard channel!

Jonas Brothers Concert, Movie, TV and Pop Music Stars of 2008

The Jonas Brothers are the latest hot ticket teen sensation to roll off the Disney mass-marketing machine. This band is not

your run of the mill bubble gum pop band. Jonas is unique in that they band consist of three New Jersey brothers, Kevin, Joe,

and Nick Jonas all of whom actually do play their own instruments. The band has released two albums and is set to release

their third in the summer of 2008.

The Jonas Brothers have a large and loyal female teen fan base having guested on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana

television show. The band was also the opening act for Hannah’s Best of Both World’s US concert tour and also appeared in

Disney’s Hannah Montana 3-D concert tour movie.

The Jonas Brothers were scheduled to begin filming their own Disney channel TV series J.O.N.A.S. where the brothers play

part-time spies who have ordinary identities by day. The Hollywood writer’s strike caused the filming to be postponed.

With that postponement, the Jonas Brothers were able to schedule a Look Me in the Eyes concert tour for the spring of 2008.

The brothers will be playing in concerts in smaller theatres all across the US. If you are a fan of the brothers, it would be

a good idea to see the band now on this tour before concert ticket prices skyrocket for when they tour again in the fall.

The Jonas Brothers will also appear in the film Camp Rock, which is said to be another High School Musical, so the band will

sure to be selling out concert venues for years to come.

How To Promote A Concert: A Few Tips

Posted by Music Blog | Posted in Live Music Blog, Live Music Seattle | Posted on 01-05-2009

Please accept the information below as a guide offering suggestions for publicizing a concert and encourage maximum attendance
and success!

Some of the recommendations may not be appropriate for your type of concert. While some of the concepts may be obvious,
others may be new but worthy of a try.

I will cover the aspects of flyer/poster concert promotion and a few tips for media promotion..

Firstly, the single most importand thing when you want to promote a concert is to start delegating duties and make sure helpers know
what’s expected of them.

So let’s start!

[Flyers and Posters] It’s importand to have a well designed, eye-catching flyer or poster. It will show people that the concert deserves their anticipation,
time and money.

The artist’s management may provide you with some flyers or posters to start with.

If you prefer to create your own flyer or poster, you should find a graphics professional or pronting company willing to donate
services in exchange for advertising..

If it’s the first time the artist is coming to your town or city be sure to include a testimonial on the flyer or poster. A flyer that simple
advertises an artist or a band will mean nothing to someone who has never heard of them!

Assign volunteers to post the flyers in places likely to attract the most attention. Try grocery stores, local chamber of Commerce
offices, Art Councils or other communities, malls, shoping plazas, music stores, book stores, galleries and other popular gathering
spots where flyers are displayed routinely but be sure to ask for permission before posting.

Do not forget to post the flyers or posters to the concert location itself! Try to hang posters as close to the average eye level as possible..

[Media and other sources of publicity] List the concert in community calendars, Newspaper, Magazines or radio and TV stations if possible. Radio and Tv stations may be
willing to anounce events for free.

Be sure to notice them many weeks in advance. In the listing include the date of the concert, time, location, ticket price, ticket outlets,
sponsors of course and phone numbers for information.

Ask promotional material from the artist’s managementslike interviews, video clips, song samples, photographs etc. Try to deliver the
material to the media along with the news release anouncing the concert.

Make sure you follow up by phone. Ask from the management to arrange an interview with the artist(s) if possible. Discuss other
possibilities.

Provide artist’s promo material (if available) to radio stations likely to air it. Encourage them to play it often especially a week or two
before the concert. Have volunteers and friends telephone the stations and request more..!

If you are using an answering machine make a recording using sound clips from the artist. Advertise the phone numbers available to call
in newspapaer or on the radio. Include a short message in the recordings detailing concert info.

When you are online, subscribe to any music-related newsgroups or bulletin boards. Post messages about your anticipation, plans and
later, show specific information! Of course if you own a website, consider creating a special area to advertise the concert with a hot-link
to the artist’s home page (if any).

Ask from the media to co-sponsor (sharing in work or revenues) or to endorse the concert for publicity purposes. If they say ‘YES’
then make sure you include a ‘..co-sponsored by..’ message in the flyers and other promotional material..

Playing Your Song – Detroit Concert Venues Feature the Biggest Names in Music

Posted by Music Blog | Posted in Live Music Blog, Live Music Seattle | Posted on 29-04-2009

Up for some music? Want to see your favorite music performer in action? Love the live experience of a concert? Detroit’s

capacity for handling big crowds and drawing the biggest names in music makes it a prime destination for concert-goers. This

is Motown after all – the city where the likes of Stevie Wonder and the Supremes launched their careers. Rising stars and

local bands still find an enthusiastic welcome for music of all kinds in Detroit City.

Fox Theatre

The preservation of the Fox Theatre is one of Detroit’s proudest achievements. The 5,000-seat palace of the arts, arguably

the most opulent in the nation when it opened in 1928, was designated a national landmark in 1989 after an $11 million

renovation. The Fox is now busy with concerts, family-oriented shows and a wide variety of other offerings. It’s the anchor

of the Theatre District and perhaps Detroit’s greatest civic treasure. In 2008, the Fox welcomes American pop band The Jonas

Brothers; Grammy award-winning R&B, soul and jazz singer Jill Scott; and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, recipients of the

2007 Grammy award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, for the track Gone Gone Gone. Audiences can also catch big-name

entertainers like comedians Chris Rock and Frank Caliendo.

Joe Louis Arena

Home of the 10-time Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, Joe Louis Arena proudly stands along the banks of the Detroit

River. The 20,058-seat arena is Detroit City’s largest indoor venue and regularly hosts exciting attractions, including

professional sports, college hockey, concerts, circuses, and even Disney on Ice shows. The People Mover stops at its door, so

concert goers can park elsewhere downtown and reach the arena quickly. The Foo Fighters are set to rock Joe Louis Arena in

2008. Def Leppard with REO Speedwagon and Styx will also make an appearance here and later in the year, Rush makes a stop at

Joe Louis during their extended Snakes & Arrows World Tour.

Cobo Arena

Situated near the Detroit River, the Cobo Arena is one of Michigan’s finest event sites, entertaining national and

international audiences for over four decades. While the Detroit Basketball Championships are held here, so are some of the

greatest rock and roll concerts in the world – Slipknot, Madonna and KISS, to name a few. Contemporary bands such as Weezer,

Jimmy Eat World, Bush, Oasis, Blink 182, and the Goo Goo Dolls, as well as seasoned veterans like Bob Dylan play here. Cobo

hosts several sporting and civic events, rallies, gatherings, and location shoots.

DTE Energy Music Theatre

Originally known as the Pine Knob Music Theatre, due to its proximity to the nearby Pine Knob ski area and golf course, the

DTE Energy Music Theatre was renamed in 2001 when DTE Energy purchased the area’s premiere outdoor amphitheater. Despite this

change, many people still continue to call the venue “Pine Knob” or “the knob.” Many of music’s greatest stars have performed

at the theater, including Chicago and Eddie Money. The Detroit venue is also on some of the biggest tours of the summer

concert season, including Ozzfest, Gigantour, and Reggae Sunsplash. Canadian power-trio Rush have regarded the DTE as their

favorite venue to play in the United States. The blockbuster Police tour makes its stop at the DTE in the summer of 2008. Tim

McGraw and Gingantour with Megadeath are also scheduled to appear during the May to September concert season.

Meadow Brook Music Festival

Located at Oakland University, the Meadow Brook Music Festival accommodates up to 8,000 in the expansive outdoor pavilion and

lawn seating area. The Meadow Brook Music Festival is the official summer home of the renowned Detroit Symphony Orchestra, in

addition to being one of the top concert venues in Michigan, showcasing the musical talents of James Taylor and His Band of

Legends in 2008.

Palace of Auburn Hills

Detroit’s premier auditorium-style concert venue is often referred to simply as the Palace, and is home of the Detroit

Pistons and hosts numerous concerts and special events throughout the year. Some of the venue’s past big-name entertainers

include Sting, David Lee Roth, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. In early 2008, the Spice Girls performed at the Palace as part of

their reunion tour The Return of the Spice Girls to a sold-out crowd. The 2008 season also includes Avril Lavigne, Creedence

Clearwater Revisited, Santana, Kanye West, Tom Petty, and Celine Dion.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1914, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra is one of the United States’ most prestigious and accessible orchestras. In

2003, it launched the Max M. Fisher Music Center, a performing arts complex, which has become a popular venue for musical

concerts of various genres, including some of the most popular jazz concerts in town. The Max houses the famous Orchestra

Hall, the Music Box, Atrium, and Allesee Hall. Excellent acoustics and state-of-the-art facilities make every performance

memorable. The Max also has facilities to host conferences, private concerts, banquets and weddings. The Chieftans, Ireland’s

musical ambassadors, make their appearance at the Fisher in 2008, as well as five-time Academy award-winner John Williams,

followed by New Orleans Jazz and the Mambo Kings.

Wherever you’re going, Checker Sedan is a better way to get there. Our vehicles and drivers will spoil you with luxury. And

our little extras make us the obvious choice for people who are going places.
